Nudibranch

Nudibranchs are a fascinating group of shell-less snails that live in the sea. In Norway, there are approximately 130 species of nudibranchs, all of which live on the seabed. These snails are known for their colorful and varied appearance, which makes them popular with divers and underwater photographers.

Nudibranchs have one of the most amazing defense mechanisms among underwater animals. They eat specific prey such as sponges, nettles and bryozoans, and can absorb toxins from these animals to protect themselves. This makes them effective predators in their environment.

Have you ever seen a nudibranch up close? They are truly a sight to behold! 🐌✨
